Platform Update: September 2025

Three big additions this month: native Google Meet for telehealth, multi-step onboarding workflows, and AI-powered document analysis that reads your lab reports so you don't have to.

Here's everything that shipped in September. As always, these features are live now for all Ready Practice accounts.

Google Meet Integration

Ready Practice now supports Google Meet as a native telehealth option alongside our built-in video. If your practice already lives in Google Workspace, this removes the friction of switching between tools — connect your Google account once and every telehealth appointment automatically generates a unique Meet link.

When a patient books a telehealth session, Ready Practice creates the Meet event, attaches the link to the appointment, and sends it to both provider and patient in their confirmation and reminder emails. No manual link creation, no copy-pasting, no "can you resend the link?" messages five minutes before a session.

The integration works with all existing scheduling flows — patient self-booking, provider-initiated appointments, and recurring sessions. Meet links are unique per appointment, so there's no risk of patients joining the wrong session.

To enable: Go to Settings → Integrations → Google Meet and connect your Google Workspace account.

Custom Onboarding Workflows

Patient onboarding is usually the messiest part of running a practice. You need intake forms filled out, documents uploaded, an initial appointment scheduled, maybe a lab order sent — and somehow you have to coordinate all of it before the first visit. Most practices cobble this together with email chains and checklists. Now you can build it directly into Ready Practice.

Custom Onboarding Workflows let you create multi-step sequences that guide new patients through everything they need to complete before their first appointment. Each workflow is a series of steps — intake forms, scheduling prompts, document upload requests, clinical questionnaires, consent forms — presented to the patient in order through their patient portal.

The key feature here is conditional logic. Steps can appear or disappear based on how a patient responds to earlier steps. If a patient indicates they're on medication in their intake form, the workflow can automatically add a medication history form. If they select a specific service type, the workflow routes them to the right scheduling calendar. This means one workflow can handle multiple patient types without creating a dozen variations.

On the provider side, you get a dashboard showing which patients have completed onboarding and which are stuck on a particular step — so your front desk knows exactly who to follow up with and why.

To get started: Go to Workflows → Onboarding and use the drag-and-drop builder to create your first sequence.

AI Document Analysis

This one has been the most requested feature from functional medicine and longevity practices: upload a lab report, medical note, or clinical document, and Ready Practice's AI extracts the structured data for you.

For lab reports, that means individual lab values are pulled out with their reference ranges, flagged as normal or abnormal, and auto-populated into the patient's record. For medical notes from outside providers, the AI generates a structured summary — medications, diagnoses, procedures, and key findings — so you can review a 15-page specialist note in 30 seconds instead of 10 minutes.

The extraction isn't blind automation. Every AI-extracted value is presented for provider review before it's committed to the patient record. You'll see the original document side-by-side with the extracted data, so you can verify, correct, or approve in a single pass. Nothing writes to the chart without your sign-off.

This is particularly useful for practices that receive a high volume of outside records — referral-heavy specialties, second-opinion practices, or anyone doing comprehensive health assessments where patients arrive with a stack of prior labs and notes. Instead of manually transcribing values or skimming dense PDFs, you get structured, searchable data in your patient record.

To use: Open any patient record, go to Documents → Upload, and select "Analyze with AI" after uploading.
